Description

Amid the Covid-19 lockdowns, the precarious nature of the global economy, the failure of businesses, and the possibility of food shortages, the church is experiencing a surge of excitement.   For those churches that still preach the last days, there is renewed hope – does this mean we are reaching the end of the age – is the Rapture imminent?

Within this segment of the Body of Christ, the general consensus is that Jesus could come for His Church at any moment. The Rapture will take place, the Antichrist will be revealed and God's judgment will be poured out on an unrepentant earth – in that order.

We all agree that Jesus said He would come at a time we least expect (Matt 24:44).  But almost without exception, the church expects Him to come at the outset of the Tribulation. Few realize that this pre-tribulation view was only conceived in the 1800's by a man named John Darby.  What if he was wrong?

What if the modern-day Church has got it wrong?

In his second letter to the Thessalonians Paul prefaced the following instructions by saying "Let no man deceive you!" The Day of the Lord would not come before the following takes place:

First - a falling away of believers

Second - that the Son of Perdition, the Antichrist, would be revealed when he stepped into Jerusalem's temple and proclaimed himself god.  That event happens 1,260 days into the tribulation period – the midpoint..

In I Corinthians 15:51,52, Paul declares a mystery.  We will not all 'sleep' (die) but we shall all be changed "in the twinkling of an eye".  When? At the last trumpet. At this moment, the dead will be raised and we shall be changed. If we believe what Paul is saying, why are we ignoring the obvious?  The last trumpet is just where it should be when the trumpet judgments take place and the seventh angel sounds (Rev 11:15-19).

The Seventh Trumpet is vitally important reading for this time.  I have yet to discover another book that focuses on the powerful events of Revelation's midpoint. Yet it is at the Seventh Trumpet that God's plan for humanity reaches its climax.   If you are unprepared for the turbulent days to come, for persecutions, hardships, and sorrows before that final moment of glory when Christ calls His Bride home will you stand or fall by the wayside?
